FELLOWSHIP GROUPS:
Causey Group
– (2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:15 p.m.)
Discussion of the Sunday Sermon, led by Nat Causey. This group meets at the Causey home for a time of dinner fellowship, followed by group discussion and prayer. Call Nat 256-975-4796 or Pam 256-975-4793 for more details.Eldridge Group
– (2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:15 p.m.)
The group will meet at the Eldridge home (320 Forrest Park Ct., NW, Huntsville, AL) or the Harness Home (185 Lofton Rd., Huntsville, AL). There will be a time of fellowship and pot-luck meal followed by a discussion of Sunday Sermon and current events. Call Nathan Eldridge for more details. Childcare will be provided at the Children’s Ministry Modular. Childcare drop off begins at 5:45 p.m.Murphree Group
– (2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.) This group will meet at the Murphree home (223 Harborview Dr., Madison, AL). After a light supper, there will be a discussion on the topic of Knowing God using the Scriptures and being guided by J.I. Packer’s classic book by the same title. Childcare will be provided at the Christian Ministry Modular. Please let Stacy Murphree (smurphree@knology.net) know if you desire a copy of the book or need directions. We Cannot Be Silent: Speaking Truth to a Culture Redefining Sex, Marriage, and the Very Meaning of Right and Wrong, by R. Albert Mohler, Jr. Nat Causey leads a Tuesday morning discussion group. They meet each Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. at the Blue Plate Cafe on Governor’s Drive.
Pilgrim’s Progress - John Anderson leads a group discussion each Tuesday over lunch. They are currently reading and discussing John Buynan’s classic, Pilgrim’s Progress. The group meets at John Anderson’s home at 11:30 a.m.
God in the Whirlwind - Each Thursday morning Nathan Eldridge leads a men’s discussion group. They are currently reading God in the Whirlwind: How the Holy-Love of God Reorients Our World by David Wells. They meet each Thursday morning at 6:30 a.m. at the Sunny Street Cafe.
WOMEN”S STUDIES:
No Other Gospel: A Study of Galatians - This study is led by Jennifer Murphree and Emma Peace. They meet on Tuesday mornings in the nursery modular at 9:30 a.m. If you would like a copy of the book please contact Jennifer Murphree for more information. Childcare is available in Nursery Modular. Drop off begins at 9:15 a.m.
A Woman’s Wisdom: A Study of Proverbs - This study will begin on Friday, January 15. It will meet from 8:30-10:00 a.m. each Friday morning at the home of Pam Causey. The discussion will be led by Mary Katherine Keel. You can purchase the book A Woman’s Wisdom by Lydia Brownback from amazon.com.
Studying 1, 2, 3 John - Ellise Adams and Frances Shipman are leading an inductive study of John’s letters. It will meet on the following Thursday evenings at 7:00 p m.: Jan 21, Feb 4 & 18, Mar 3 & 17, Apr 7. The study will be held at Tracey Zumbach’s home.
YOUTH AND CHILDREN:
Kids in 1st-5th grade are invited to join us for our study of Christiana, Part 2 in our study of Pilgrim’s Progress. We will meet the first and third Wednesday nights each month from 6:15-7:30 p.m.
Youth Activities (At the Brockway Campus) (1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:15 p.m.)
Eric Fulcher will lead the youth in a book study on When People are Big and God is Small By Ed Welch with singing time. They will meet in rooms 208/209.CHOIR:
Under the leadership of our music director, Tom Ashcraft, Choir Practice is also at 6:15 p.m. in the Music Modular. This is an excellent time for new members to join our choir, and to enjoy not only singing together but also enriching our Lord’s Day worship.
- SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
Sunday morning worship service is at 9:30 A.M.
Nursery and child care services are provided for infants and toddlers through age four. A Mothers’ Room for nursing mothers is also available. Children’s church meets during the sermon for children ages 4-6, and is offered to help parents prepare their children for public worship.
